The Law Office of Dwight M. Montgomery was founded in August of 2006 by Dwight M. Montgomery, a former Partner of the Business and Tax Department at Best Best & Krieger LLP, where he practiced Tax Law and Business Law for almost 10 years. Dwight also served five years as an attorney with the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service, often “reverse-engineering” business structures and transactions to determine tax implications. After graduating from the University of Michigan Law School in 1989, Dwight started his legal career as a tax associate with the downtown Los Angeles office of Loeb and Loeb LLP, an international law firm.
Dwight specializes in Business Law for individuals, for-profit business entities, and nonprofit organizations, with special emphasis on counseling business-oriented individuals and closely-held middle market companies.
Transactional and Consulting: Dwight specializes in business transactional planning matters for individuals, sole proprietorships, corporations, limited liability companies, and limited and general partnerships, with a special emphasis on closely-held businesses. General Counsel: Dwight also serves as General Counsel for corporations and other businesses and ventures, advising management on day-to-day operational matters and overseeing business and personal matters handled by other professionals.
